Correct usage and adjustment techniques of rotary tillers

A rotary tiller is a tillage machine that is paired with a tractor to complete tillage and raking operations. Due to its strong soil crushing ability and flat surface after cultivation, it has been widely used. The correct use and adjustment of rotary tillers is crucial for maintaining their good technical condition and ensuring the quality of cultivation. The correct use and adjustment techniques of rotary tillers are introduced as follows:

1、 Use of rotary tillers

1. At the beginning of the operation, the rotary tiller should be in the raised state. First, combine the power output shaft to increase the blade shaft speed to the rated speed, and then lower the rotary tiller to gradually insert the blade into the soil to the required depth. It is strictly prohibited to combine the power output shaft or sharply lower the rotary tiller after the blade enters the soil, to avoid bending or breaking the blade and increasing the load on the tractor.

2. During the operation, it is advisable to drive at a low speed as much as possible to ensure the quality of the operation, make the soil fine, and reduce the wear and tear of the machine parts. Pay attention to listening for any noise or metal tapping from the rotary tiller, and observe the condition of broken soil and plowing depth. If there are any abnormalities, the machine should be immediately shut down for inspection, and the operation can only continue after troubleshooting.

3. When turning on the ground, it is prohibited to work. The rotary tiller should be raised to lift the blades off the ground, and the tractor throttle should be reduced to avoid damaging the blades. When lifting the rotary tiller, the tilt angle of the universal joint should be less than 30 degrees. If it is too large, it will produce impact noise, causing premature wear or damage.

4. When reversing, crossing ridges, and transferring land, the rotary tiller should be lifted to its position and the power should be cut off to avoid damaging the machine components. If transferring to a distance, use a locking device to secure the rotary tiller.

5. After each shift of operation, the rotary tiller should be maintained. Remove the soil and weeds on the blade, check the fastening of each connecting piece, add lubricating oil to each lubricating oil point, and add grease to the universal joint to prevent heavy wear.

2、 Adjustment of rotary tiller

1. Adjust left and right horizontally. Park the tractor with a rotary tiller on a flat surface, lower the rotary tiller so that the blade is 5 centimeters above the ground, and observe whether the height of the left and right blade tips from the ground is consistent to ensure that the blade axis is level and the plowing depth is uniform during the operation.

2. Horizontal adjustment before and after. When lowering the rotary tiller to the required tillage depth, observe whether the included angle of the universal joint and the first shaft of the rotary tiller are close to the horizontal position. If the included angle of the universal joint is too large, the top link can be adjusted to make the rotary tiller in a horizontal position.

3. Lift height adjustment. In rotary tillage operation, the included angle of the universal joint is not allowed to be greater than 10 degrees, nor is it allowed to be greater than 30 degrees when turning the headland. Therefore, for the lifting of rotary tillers, screws can be used to adjust the position and tighten the limit at the appropriate position of the handle; If height adjustment is used, special attention shall be paid to lifting. If the rotary tiller needs to be raised again, the power of the universal joint shall be cut off.
